We’re growing faster and growing better!

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve completed a merger with The Roundhouse Digital, one of the best respected agencies in the north East. The newly merged business will operate under the r//evolution brand.

The best of both

Established in 1995, The Roundhouse had an established national reputation for its creative work, with its client portfolio encompassing global, national and regional brands. The merger has brought together the two brands, building on r//evolution’s success working with ambitious, high-growth businesses, delivering a range of digital transformation services that accelerate lead generation and customer conversion, increase customer lifetime value and deliver technical infrastructure solutions.

Originally set up in 2002 and with our headquarters in Gateshead, we established our Manchester office in 2019 and have now further strengthened our portfolio with the merger.

Working with great advisors

Our Lead Corporate Finance Advisor on the deal was David Cudlip. David commented that “The natural synergies between r//evolution and The Roundhouse brands make this deal an incredibly exciting one. The opportunity to combine both businesses aligns well with r//evolution’s growth plans and I would expect clients from both businesses to see the benefits early doors. I wish Gill, Adam and the r//evolution team every success.”

Corporate Partner, Martin Mckinnell, of Endeavour Partnership provided legal advice on the transaction. Martin commented “It was fantastic to work with r//evolution on this deal which sees them further enhance and strengthen their position in this dynamic and competitive market. As always, it was a pleasure to work with Gill and the r//evolution team and we wish them every success in the future with this venture.”

Exciting times ahead

Our MD Gill Burgess commented on the merger, “We’re delighted to have further strengthened our offer through this deal. The Roundhouse’s reputation precedes it, and the quality of their work speaks for itself. We saw this as an ideal opportunity to combine our resource to further fuel our growth. Although its early days, our clients are already seeing the benefits of the increased breadth of expertise we have to offer.”

The Roundhouse’ co-founder and Creative Director, Nick Pugh is enthusiastic about the merger, “This is an exciting step for us all, and we’re delighted to bring the two businesses together under the r//evolution brand. There is a great culture-fit and the teams are already working well together, delivering on a number of significant projects.”

r//evolution has seen the benefit of the increased focus many businesses now have on digital transformation. Gill explains “We have the skills to scope and deliver exciting transformation projects for businesses looking to increase efficiencies and reduce friction. This is a huge focus for many businesses, particularly having been through the changes thrust upon them by the pandemic. These projects can involve both infrastructure and system changes – an example being the alignment of finance, EPOS, and sales & marketing systems. For others it's about developing a high performing web presence that creates an effective sales funnel. Additionally, as a HubSpot Platinum Partner, we’re also well-placed to deliver highly effective marketing automation solutions. The impact of these changes can be dramatic – increasing sales revenues and substantially reducing admin overhead - shifting resource to profit centres, driving sustained growth.”

We are also experiencing growth across our retained marketing services. Working in conjunction with inhouse teams, we add digital marketing expertise, or operate as a fully out-sourced solution for companies who have this requirement. The focus is, of course, on a range of deliverables to drive accelerated growth for our clients.

r//evolution services clients UK wide but continues to have a strong client base across the northeast and the northwest including in the construction, education, marine, technology, retail, engineering and leisure sectors.
